C. A. has spent his 27 year career in pulp and paper manufacturing. Since May of 2010 he has been the General Manager of Rayonier’s Fernandina Beach, Florida dissolving pulp mill. He has been with Rayonier for 10 years serving as Maintenance and Engineering Manager in Fernandina Beach through 2007 before moving to Rayonier’s Jesup, Georgia mill as Operations Manager. Before Rayonier, C. A. held various engineering and operations positions in the Union Camp and International Paper uncoated freesheet facility in Franklin, Virginia.
A 1984 B.S. Mechanical Engineering graduate of N. C. State University, C. A. attended the Harvard University Business School’s General Manager Program in 2004. Outside of work, he has been a foster parent through Baptist Children’s Home in Jacksonville, a volunteer for the United Way of Northeast Florida, the Barnabas Center, and an active member of his local church. Currently he is serving as a member of the Nassau County Economic Development Board and the NC State Pulp and Paper Foundation.
