Cris McConnell

Councilman Cris McConnell was born and raised in Hilliard. He attended local schools until his senior year, where he graduated from Lakeland Senior High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army and proudly served for three years. Councilman McConnell has been married to his wife Peggy for 42 years. They have two children and four grandchildren. Councilman McConnell retired from the Nassau County School Board in 2008 as the Director of Facilities. Councilman McConnell is the past Chairman, and a current member of the Nassau County Economic Development Board. What most people look at as “problem solving” Councilman McConnell sees as “finding solutions to opportunities.” Councilman McConnell was first elected to the Town Council in 1978 and has since served more than 15 years as a member of the Hilliard Town Council.
