Florida does business with all parts of the world; importing goods from Europe, Asia and South America, exporting to the world and attracting foreign businesses to establish service and manufacturing operations as a foothold in the US markets.
Traditionally it has been South Florida that got the major attention but in recent decades, the world has come to focus more and more on Northeast Florida, hence a large number of international companies have been opening headquarters, service operations or manufacturing facilities at a serviceable distance to Jacksonville’s Seaport.
